The Old Hall School

Matron provides another very important facet of the School’s pastoral system. At The Old Hall, two matrons share the role and are always there to lend a hand. Matron’s role involves all manner of things such as patching up grazed knees, listening to occasional woes and sorting out all sorts of minor personal ‘emergencies’! Matron is also able to advise parents and pupils on all manner of concerns. Nobody ever said parenting was easy!

The children find in Matron a real friend away from the classroom; somebody to whom they look for a kind word and gentle approach. Rest assured, however, Matron is not a pushover and knows every dodge in the book!
