HOW YOU HELP

Through the various events organised by the Friends Committee, the extra funds raised are used solely for the benefit of all of our children whilst at The Old Hall School.

Below are a number of purchases made using these funds and with your help and contribution by attending and enjoying our events, we will raise more and more funds to continue enhancing the fabulous environment within which our children thrive:

  • A set of Netball Kit bags for the Upper School girls' team
  • A cupboard for cookery equipment used at after school cookery club
  • A cycle rack for all you biking enthusiasts, installed by the main school entrance
  • The purchase of a Tower of London Poppy for the school
  • Replacement chess pieces for the playground
  • Lights and speakers for school discos
  • Aprons for the Art room

The School Council voted for The Friends Committee to fund the installation of an Amazon Tree Climber for the playground. This fantastic piece of play equipment cost over £13,000 and was installed during the 2015 Easter holidays by local company, Nobridge Nurseries. The climber is bespoke and measures 10m x 10m. All resurfacing has been carried out in-line with the design based on the practicality of use by the children. How Amazing!

Through more successful fund raising, the Friends Committee purchased a new baby grand piano. Mr Thorpe chose the piano and it was delivered to the school in January 2016. Jade Harris, Assistant Director of Music for Wrekin College performed a piano recital at The OId Hall, christening this wonderful piece of equipment - this was enjoyed immensely by all who attended.
