A WELCOME FROM THE HEADMASTER
The Old Hall’s move, in 2006, from Wellington’s oldest building into a purpose-built, state of the art school confirms my belief that it is the people within a school, who actually are the School. Our commitment to providing high quality education has, at its very core, the understanding that each individual member of our School is unique, worthy of respect and to be encouraged and nurtured as a learner and as a person.
In preparing children for the contemporary challenges of the 21st century, The Old Hall presents itself as a forward thinking school, which also respects the traditions of all that is best in education; a community committed to the idea that every child has talents which need to be identified and developed; where stimulating and varied learning experiences are provided in a secure and safe environment.
Whilst these pages will provide a snapshot of what The Old Hall is about, they cannot possibly begin to represent the atmosphere of our School. They cannot accurately record the articulate conversations heard in the classrooms and corridors; the peals of laughter in the playground and the cries of encouragement on the sports fields. Neither can these pages adequately demonstrate the feelings of happiness, security and self-worth, which are such important factors in our children’s development.
May I take this opportunity to invite you and your children to visit The Old Hall School, so that you may experience this wonderful place at first hand.
I look forward to meeting you and can assure you of a warm welcome.
